Issue Position

By supporting veterans and our troops, we strengthen our military, our economy, and our country. As a veteran, I'm aware of the unique challenges military families face, which is why I will:

Sponsor legislation to fundamentally reform veterans' health care
To ensure access to be integrated with the existing medical system and be subject to the same practices that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services oversee. No vet should have to wait for medical or mental health services.
Sponsor legislation that empowers veterans and strengthens our economy by connecting their unique skills to 21st-century careers.
Support legislation that realigns the demands of a military career to accommodate family needs, such as enabling more flexibility in military careers, increasing access to childcare, maintaining a commitment to family leave policies, and supporting military spouses in their career decisions.
